The purpose of the Newman Scholarship is
- to provide financial assistance to UMR Catholic
students
- to promote Church ministry and Christian leadership.
The Scholarship is awarded each semester is an
upper-class UMR student who
- is active in their Catholic faith
- desires to be a lay leader in the Church
- is willing to commit time and service to the
Catholic Campus Ministry Center or St. Patrick Parish while attending
- has a 2.5 cumulative GPA at UMR
Application forms can be obtained from the UMR
Student Financial Assistance Office or the Catholic Campus Ministry
Center or downloaded here.
Application deadline is April 2.
The Newman Scholarship Fund is held by the MSM/UMR
Alumni Association. Donations to the Newman Scholarship Fund are
recognized by the university. Checks made to Newman Scholarship
Fund may be sent directly to the MSM/UMR Alumni Association or sent
